I first developed a love of photography while being stationed in Germany in the mid-to-late 1980's (you can see some of my earlier work in the "Germany in the 80's" gallery on this site). I traveled all around Germany with my Pentax K-1000 and friend Paul shooting whatever I could! For some reason I put photography aside for around 20 years until about 3 years ago when I was "bitten" again. My wonderful wife, and best friend, has encouraged and supported me to the point where I am now pursuing more and more photography opportunities.

My heart lies in landscape and "street" photography but I also attempt to be a "well rounded" photographer by working in portrait and wedding photography as well. The more I grow as a photographer you should see my desire and ability to "see beneath the surfaces and record the qualities of nature and humanity" (Ansel Adams). Not to copy someone else's style or work, but to reflect the style and personality of the subject I'm photographing. whether that be a person, mountains or a beach.
